About the Earl Arts Centre

Welcome to the Earl Arts Centre!

Here's some information to help you find your way around the venue:

Address:
The Earl Arts Centre is located at 10 Earl St, Launceston, right behind the Princess Theatre. Click here to see a map.

Parking:
While we do not have a designated car park, there is plenty of street parking, a CarePark across the street at the Mercure Hotel and a multistorey car park just around the corner in Paterson St.

Access:
We have accessible seating for wheelchair users and carers in the Earl Arts Centre.

The front row of seats can be accessed without negotiating any steps. Please speak to the Front of House manager if you need assistance.

Picking up your tickets:
Pre-booked tickets can be collected from the Princess Theatre Box Office at any time leading up to the performance, or at the Earl Arts Centre up to one hour before the show.

If you need to collect tickets on the day of a show, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the show starts so you have plenty of time to collect your tickets and take your seats..

Locating your seat:
You must present your ticket to the usher at the door leading into the theatre.

Once you are inside the theatre and usher will show you to your seat.

If you have a General Admission ticket, you may choose where you would like to sit when you enter the theatre.

Small Children and Babies:
For some shows, babies are admitted for free as long as they sit on your lap during the performance.

Each show has a "Babes in Arms" policy - please check the show information or ask at the Princess Theatre Box Office for details.

All Babes in Arms must still have a ticket to enter the theatre. This is a free ticket that is issued by the Box Office,

so please make sure you collect your complimentary Babes in Arms ticket from the Front of House Manager before entering the theatre.

Cameras, videos and phones:
Mobile phones must be switched off when you enter the theatre.

Switching your phone to silent mode is not permitted as incoming calls can interfere with sound equipment.

If you are expecting an urgent call please alert the Front of House Manager, who will be happy to make arrangements to

monitor your phone for you while you enjoy the show.

No filming or photography is permitted in the theatre.

Drinks and snacks:
There are both kiosk and bar facilities at the Earl Arts Centre for selected shows (cash only).

Please enjoy your drinks in the foyer - alcoholic drinks cannot be consumed outside. Hot drinks  are not permitted inside the theatre.

Smoking:
Smoking is prohibited anywhere in the building and within 3m of doorways.

Audio:
The Earl Arts Centre is fitted with a hearing induction loop. Please ask our Front of House Manager for assistance with this service.

Toilets:
Ladies and Gents toilets are located in the foyer.

A toilet with easy access for wheelchair users is also located in the foyer.

Local facilities:
There are a number of restaurants and hotels within walking distance of the Earl Arts Centre.

There are 3 ATMs within one block of the Theatre.
