Calendar Girls
25 Oct 2012 - 27 Oct 2012
Stephen Beckett Productions
The smash hit film has been turned into a stage play!
Written by Tim Firth
Directed by Stephen Beckett
A group of ordinary women do something extraordinary and spark a global phenomenon when they persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference - they're nude!
Based on an inspiring true story, Calendar Girls is quirky, poignant and hilarious.
It's a play that has a genuine feel good factor, with lots of laughs and a few tears.
The "real life" calendar girls have raised three million pounds for Leukaemia Research and have been the subject of a smash hit Hollywood film starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, and a hit stage show - the fastest selling and most successful play ever to tour the UK.
Note: The Rights to put this play on in Launceston - with a fine local cast - include a donation to Leukaemia Research, so just by coming to see it audience members will already have indirectly helped out.
