Theatre North's RAW Acoustic Competition at was a hit at this year's Festivale!

The Judges were so impressed they awarded TWO winners! Congratulations to winners Tokyo Twins and Ryan Williams, and our runners-up (in no particular order) Clare Munnings, T.W. Willis, Waverley McIlroy and Eliza Gadsby.

About RAW Acoustic Competition

RAW aims to be a way for emerging artists to get gigs at Festivale and The Royal Oak Hotel.

With a fresh focus on the original, the acoustic and the authentic, RAW Acoustic Competition has seen incredible talent arise, grow and succeed on the stage.

Previous winners and runners-up have gone on to perform at events such as MONA FOMA, Junction Arts Festival, in theatrical productions and other paid gigs, including their own full sets at Festivale.

After appearing in RAW, some musicians have launched their careers – releasing singles, EPs and albums, and winning prizes for song-writing in national competitions.

RAW is a unique partnership between Theatre North Inc., Festivale and The Royal Oak Hotel.
