YOUR COVID-SAFE VISIT

Theatre North, as managers of the Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre, take our responsibility to public health seriously.

We are closely monitoring the latest advice from Federal, state and local governments and have comprehensive Covid-safe plans, which will evolve as health advice changes.

To make sure you are safe and feel comfortable during your visit with us, we have in place a range of Covid-safety measures.

The Four Big Ways You Can Help

  1. If you're unwell, be a no-show. Even if it's a sniffle, we encourage you to stay home, then get tested!
  2. Get in the habit of bringing a mask (read on below!)
  3. Download the Check In Tas app. It will be in use at every event at our venues.
  4. Check your emails. A pre-show email will be sent to you 24-72 hours prior to your performance, with up-to-date info on your arrival time, interval & bar arrangements.

Safety Measures

Capacity

As of the 1st of May, Theatre North has approval to operate at 100% capacity for both The Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre.

Mask Wearing

Get in the habit of bringing a mask .As of May 1st, mask wearing is not mandatory, however, should you wish to wear one both the Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre are facemask friendly venues.

Check In

The State Government requires all attendees to the Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre to check in, using the Check In Tas app.

You can help us by:

  • downloading the app on your smart phone and registering your details
  • once at the theatre, open the app and point towards the QR codes at the entrance or in the foyer
  • click "Check In"

It is a quick and painless exercise, and your assistance helps us move patrons through the foyer with a minimum of queueing.

Staggered Arrival Times & Alternate Entrances

The foyers of the Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre are relatively small compared to the venues themselves, with low carrying capacities. For popular shows, staggered arrival times or alternate entrance points may be used to prevent crowding at the entrance to the venue and in the foyers.

Information on your arrival time and entrance will be sent to you in a pre-show email 24-72 hours prior to your show.

As per our COVID-safety plan, arrival times for audiences must be staggered for this event. Please review the seat number on your ticket in advance, to help us ensure your entry is managed smoothly.

25 minutes before curtain: Rows O - R stalls, Row F circle
