Extra Info for Parents

There are some extra details we would like to advise to parents wishing to attend sessions of the Competitions.

PROGRAMMES

Programmes will be available at Barratts Music, Maree’s Ballet Boutique, Petrarch’s Bookshop and Stories Bookshop at a price of $12.

Competitors are able to pre-order a programme for $17 (inc. postage) with their entries. These will then be posted as soon as they are available from the printer.

SESSION TIMES

It is important to arrive at the theatre in time to purchase tickets and enter the theatre. If there is an item on the stage, patrons will not be admitted until the entrant has completed the item. It is disappointing for parents to have just missed their child performing, so please ensure they arrive in plenty of time.

MERIT CERTIFICATES

The Adjudicator of each section will set a standard indicated by the marks awarded, which will be announced prior to the commencement of each section. If a competitor reaches or passes this standard, a Certificate of Merit can be purchased as a permanent record of that achievement. The cost per certificate is $1.00 and there is no limit on the number that can be bought. Enquiries may be made at the Secretary's office.

VOLUNTEER HELPERS

The organisation of Launceston Competitions involves many volunteer helpers the duties of marshalling competitors, selling tickets, placing numbers on the board, ushering and writing for the adjudicators all need to be covered. The committee welcomes anyone who has some free time and is willing to assist.
