Love Letters to the Princess invites all theatre-lovers, all Launcestonians - and every one really - to help us mark the 50th anniversary of live performance at our beautiful venue.
Critical Culture is space for a good, hard chat about theatre. Operating like a book club, the guided discussions examine our live theatre from artistic intent through to execution, and equip participants with the skills to go beyond the surface of theatre review and critique. Dates for 2021, along with a new online platform, will be announced very soon. This project is supported by Regional Arts Australia, Regional Arts Network Tasmania and Arts Tasmania.
Multitrack is an immersive and experiential development program for three early career artists, who will join Theatre North, Tasdance, Junction Arts Festival and Mudlark Theatre throughout 2021 to navigate new pathways in their artistic practice. Applications for this program are now closed. Multitrack is supported by the Minister for the Arts through Arts Tasmania.
Fanfare is a wonderful program for emerging composers, run by our friends at Artology. You'll be hearing fabulous new works at selected Princess Theatre events throughout the year, in lieu of our regular Front of House bells.
Workshops and training opportunities will be announced throughout the year, but to begin with, please have a look at the Creative North program. We're pleased to be partnering with Ten Days on the Island with its delivery.
Theatre Drinks are a lovely way for the theatre community to come together. Check out our socials for dates as they arise.
