Theatre North presents The Space Company’s

Stardust + The Mission

Featuring the City of Launceston RSL Band

In a spellbinding double bill!

Two powerful yet forgotten Australian stories uncovering our past to reveal who we are today.

"STARDUST is the story of my jazz musician grandfather Col Brain, and his wooden dresser thatsat unopened in the family garage for over 25 years. When Mum and I finally unlocked it, we uncovered all these family secrets that my grandfather had left behind. This is a story about one man’s life, exploring all the things he left behind..." – Joel Carnegie, Creator and Performer.

Join us for a heart-warming musical quest to uncover what Col wanted us to know about his life by the things he left behind.

"THE MISSION follows the story of my great great Uncle, “Fighting Gunditjmara” man AllanMcDonald. As one of the first Aboriginal soldiers from Victoria to enlist for WWI, Allan fought at Gallipoli and Beersheba, only to be denied a soldier’s settlement upon return and forced from his traditional land. This is a story that shares the truth of Uncle Allan’s struggle; fighting for Country, for love, and for justice." – Tom Molyneux, Creator and Performer.
