This panel discussion will bring together a diverse group of theatre professionals, critics, and scholars to raise provocative and contentious issues currently impacting theatre making locally, nationally, and globally.

From the ethics of casting and representation to the commercialisation of theatre, no topic is off-limits. Panellists will tackle a range of questions such as: Should inclusivity take precedence over historical accuracy in period dramas? Is the rise of immersive theatre a gimmick or the future of the art form? Are trigger warnings necessary? Expect unfiltered opinions, passionate arguments, and perhaps even some unexpected consensus.

Whether you’re there to defend tradition or champion radical change, Theatrical Hot Takes will be a lively space for dialogue, disagreement, discovery, and an opportunity to unite over our shared passion; theatre. Join us for an evening of thought-provoking conversation and, of course, a well-earned drink.

Cinq à Sept (French: [sɛ̃k a sɛt], literally 'five to seven') is a French-language term for activities taking place after work and before returning home and we're hosting!
