A reading of a new theatre work

1962 was a year of vast contrasts for the poet Sylvia Plath and her husband, Ted Hughes; she wrote her only novel, and a vast number of the excellent poems that would make her posthumous reputation; at the same time it was the year her marriage to Hughes unravelled.
What if their children Frieda and Nicholas, who grew up without their mother, could witness these events as adults?
1962 explores the strength of family, commitment, creativity and passion against the backdrop of one of the most famous literary marriages of the century.
This reading features the stellar talents of Gerard Lane, Rae Smith, Antony Butchart, Yasmine Barrett, Jane Taylor, Harrison Collis Oates, Caitlin McCarthy and Imogen Kalisch.
