THIS SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

From Mudlark Theatre:

"Due to the current impacts of the Covid pandemic in Tasmania, Girl Running Boy Falling will no longer proceed this week. Whilst this is a very disappointing decision to have to make, Mudlark's number one priority is the health and safety of our artists and our wider community.

Mudlark remains deeply committed to this project and the themes explored within it, and we hope to see you all back at the theatre when we regroup to present the work.

Ticketholders for all postponed performances will be refunded by Theatre North.  Mudlark, Theatre North and paranaple arts centre are working to secure suitable dates later in 2022. Thank you for your ongoing support."

A magical stage adaptation of the award winning book.

Tiger is sixteen and lives in Burnie. Her Aunt Kath calls her Tiger. Her friends call her Resey. The boy she loves calls her Champ. She’s a lot of different things for a lot of different people. She’s running through high school, but someone in her life is about to fall. When he does, her perfect world falls with him. For the first time in her life, Tiger can’t stand being on the ground.

The story is a beating heart of messy, funny characters and their lives are lovingly adapted for the stage by Kate Gaul.

‘Girl Running, Boy Falling is everything you could hope for … it’s thoughtful, artful, deftly crafted, raw, real and deeply affecting.’
Nick Earls, Penguin Books

This project was assisted by Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts and Supported by Hotel Grand Chancellor.
