The Multicultural Comedy Gala is a side-splitting celebration of Australia’s rich cultural diversity, by a world class selection of the most acclaimed and celebrated comedians in the nation.  This star-studded line up will poke fun at everything that makes us different, but so much the same.  So, do your soul a favour and treat it to a night of laughter you’ll never forget!  

FEATURING…  


DILRUK JAYASINHA (RECIPIENT - Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent, 2018) hails from Sri Lanka and is one of the most in demand headliners on the Australian and international comedy scene; with credits ranging from appearances at Just for Laughs, sell out shows for The Art of the Dil (2017); and two recorded hour-long specials, for the ABC and Amazon Prime - released globally in 2020.  

GEORGIE CARROLL (WINNER - Best Comedy Adelaide Fringe 2022) is a Comedian, Author, Registered Nurse, and family woman born in the UK, now settled in Australia. Georgie is a national sell-out act, with 7 solo shows under her belt and a recorded special with Network Ten; The Gloves are Off. Georgie is touring theatres nationally in 2022 with her stand up show Sista Flo 2.0, and publicizing her much anticipated book, Off The Charts (Pan Macmillan). 

NEEL KOLHATKAR is a globally performing sell-out comedian and social media influencer, boasting millions of followers online. He produces a variety of online content including short films, sketches and panel shows.

KHALED KHALAFALLA has performed stand-up to royalty in the Middle East, Australian troops in Afghanistan and to the invitation-only New York Comedy Festival. He opened for Jim Jeffries in front of 10,000 people at Perth Arena, and twice featured in JFL’s showcase at the Sydney Opera House. Khaled graced our screens with scene-stealing roles in Upper Middle Bogan (ABC), Ali’s Wedding (Netflix), Utopia (ABC) and That’s Not My Dog (Stan). 

ROB BRASLIN (RUNNER UP - MICF Deadly Funny Competition 2016) is a proud Murri comedian, comedy producer, actor, and writer. He has opened for comedy legends including Hannah Gadsby and Fiona O’Loughlin; and performed with Tasmania-based Loud Mouth Theatre Company and PIOT Theatre as an actor. Rob’s screenwriting/directing debut short horror film Vale Light received production funding through a Screen Australia/ABC and is now available for streaming on ABC iView.

TING LIM (NATIONAL FINALIST – MICF RAW) has a dark wit and distinctive style, which has made her a rising star in the Australian comedy scene. She has represented Queensland in the national Green Faces competition and has become a regular at the renowned Sit Down Comedy Club in Brisbane. Ting’s comedy has taken her from her native Singapore, to sharing the stage with comedian legends and screen with Jimeoin – where she was recently featured on an episode of Waltzing Jimeoin (Network 10).
