The Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre are the beating heart of our performance community.

With 109 years of living history, the Princess is the ‘second home’ of many of us. 91 000 people came through those Art Deco doors in 2019, to savour everything from classical music to cabaret, country music to Russian ballet, international comedy to home grown musical theatre.

We all know that 2020 and 2021 have been difficult years for the performing arts.

We love local theatre and want to encourage you to give real support to the incredible companies that make Launceston’s theatre scene so special. If you have a chance, please seek out the local companies you love and do any or all of the following:

1. like/follow their social media pages & share their fine work far and wide

2. visit their websites, sign up to their newsletters, become involved

3. contact them and ask the best way to make a donation. We know they’d appreciate it!

4. consider purchasing a gift voucher from the Princess Theatre Box Office on 6331 0052, and redeem it for a local show at a later date

Theatre North Inc takes real pride in its custodianship of the iconic Princess Theatre on behalf of the City of Launceston and Northern Tasmania, and our program of national performance.
